The Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH) was incorporated in 1966 and is the peak body for community mental health in Western Australia.
With more than 100 organisational and individual members, WAAMH's vision is that WA's community-managed mental health organisations will lead the way in supporting, and promoting the human rights of people with mental illness and their families and carers, through the provision of inclusive, well-governed community-based services focused on recovery.
WAAMH coordinates Mental Health Week in WA every October. WAAMH has strong links with state and national mental health organisations and peak bodies, and through these organisations, also has links with international mental health bodies.
