Ruah Community Services

Ruah Mental Health is the mental health division of Ruah Community Services. Ruah Inreach is its largest program which provides a professional mobile psychosocial/recovery support service to people who live with a mental illness. The service works in a partnership with the individual and their families to support their psychosocial/recovery and mental health goals, to improve their quality of life and enhance their recovery journey. Ruah Inreach is an integrated program funded under the Mental Health Commission and the Federal funded, Personal Helpers and Mentors Program. We have local services in the Inner City, Lower North, Armadale, Fremantle and Rockingham health districts.

Services provided

• Early Episode Psychosis partnership program in Rockingham and Mandurah 
• Specialist Recreating Program operating in the Inner City, Lower North and Fremantle Inreach services.
• Peer programs of Urban Network and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) 
• Housing Program: Independent Living Program (Mandurah). Individual Supported Accommodation Program (Rockingham / Mandurah)
• Intensive Program offers a metropolitan area-wide service to people with severe mental health issues, homelessness, chaotic lifestyle and complex psychosocial issues
• Intensive Housing Program offers a metropolitan area-wide service supporting individuals and their families moving from hospital setting into independent accommodation. 
• Individual Community Living Strategy is a pilot program funded by the Mental Health Commission providing tailored personal support to individuals and their families in partnership with Department of Housing.

Target Groups

• People with a mental illness and their families in need of support 16 -65 years.
• Special need groups: Aboriginal, people form culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, young people, young people leaving care, homeless, dual diagnosis.

Entry Requirements

• Self-referrals, social networks or family members, community service agencies, GP’s, Mental health or statutory agencies
